The Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department reported Thurston County's third COVID-19 death today (Monday, June 8).

The total number of cases in the county has climbed to 124 total. The latest death was identified as a male in his 60s with underlying health conditions. The county's second death was announced on June 4 and was a male in his 50s, also with underlying health conditions. 

“Our sympathies are extended to all who have lost loved ones to this virus.” said Julie Rother, NNPHD Health Director.
